Good Samaritan Pulls Driver, Dog From Burning Vehicle In Fairfield
The incident reportedly occurred on I-95 southbound near Exit 19.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A Good Samaritan truck driver pulled a man and his dog from a burning vehicle southbound on Interstate 95 near Exit 19 in Fairfield Wednesday night, News 12 Connecticut reported.
Charles Lane, a truck driver from Maine, is being credited with rescuing the man and his dog, telling the television station that the flames were spreading quickly as he struggled to release the man's seatbelt.
The unnamed driver of the vehicle reportedly suffered a broken clavicle and broken ribs in the crash, and the dog is unharmed.
