Greenwich Parent Ejected From Sidelines of Girls' Soccer Game in Fairfield

Some Greenwich parents and fans allegedly screamed profanities when they didn't agree with a call Wednesday against Fairfield Warde.

A Greenwich parent was removed from the sidelines and not allowed to return during Wednesday night’s girls’ soccer game between Greenwich and Fairfield Warde in Fairfield, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports that Fairfield Warde Athletic Director Seth Fry notified police after he said some Greenwich parents and fans began screaming profanities when they didn’t agree with a referee’s call.

The parent that was ejected apologized for using the foul language and told police that he “got caught up in the moment,” according to the Citizen.
