Guilty Plea For Ex-Fairfield School Worker In Sex Assault Case: Report

FAIRFIELD, CT — Peter Wheeler, a former paraprofessional at Jennings Elementary School in Fairfield, pleaded guilty to sex assault and child pornography charges in Bridgeport Superior Court this week, the Connecticut Post reported.

Wheeler faces a possible prison term of eight years when he is sentenced by Judge Tracy Lee Dayton on Oct. 8.

Earlier this year, the 24-year-old Fairfield resident, who worked at the school for more than two years, was accused first of possessing child pornography, and then of multiple counts of risk of injury to a child and sexual assault of a juvenile.
