Sean Gutierrez hit a two-out, walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning Sunday night, as Fairfield American defeated South Windsor National, 6-5, in New London to capture the Connecticut state championsip.
Fairfield American swept the best-of three series, winning the opener, 12-1, on Saturday.

In the process, it became the third Fairfield American team to win a state title this summer, joining the 10-year-olds and 12-year-olds.
