Joy Harjo, the 23rd U.S. Poet Laureate and member of the Muscogee Nation, is the author of 10 books of poetry, several plays, children’s books, two memoirs, and seven music albums. Winner of the National Book Critics Circle Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and many other honors, she is chair of the Native Arts & Cultures Foundation and the inaugural Artist-in-Residence for the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa, OK. Harjo will receive the 2025 Denise Levertov Award, an Image Journal honor given for lifetime achievement in arts and faith, at her free Quick Center appearance.
