Hockey Player Suffers 'Medical Emergency' During Sacred Heart Game
An inadvertent skate struck the player in the neck.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — An Army hockey player suffered a neck injury during a game against Sacred Heart University Thursday, which resulted in a temporary stoppage of the contest due to the medical emergency, according to a post on Twitter from Army Hockey.
Eric Huss suffered the injury in the second period when an inadvertent skate struck him in the neck. He underwent successful surgery to close the laceration, and will return to West Point on Friday, the team wrote.
