Holiday Happenings at the Fairfield Bookstore

The Fairfield University Store, located conveniently at 1499 Post Road in downtown Fairfield, is hosting a variety of holiday events throughout the month of December. All events are free, open to the public, and sure to be a lot of fun.

• Saturday, Dec. 2 - Holiday Storytime with Mrs. Claus, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Wednesday, Dec. 6 - Holiday Shop & Stroll with cider, cookies, live music and complimentary gift wrapping, 6-8 p.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 9 - Face Painting with Mrs. Claus, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 16 - Balloon Art Twisting with Mrs. Claus, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

For those interested, the Annual Tree Lighting is also open to the public on Tuesday, December 5, at 6:15 p.m., at the Egan Chapel of St. Ignatius Loyola Square on campus. The University welcomes the Greater Fairfield Community with hot chocolate and cookies as well as Bubble and Brew Food Truck to warm the spirits. University singing groups, The Bensonians and Sweet Harmony, will perform songs of the season. Lucas and Santa will join the fun for pictures, there will be a Fairfield Holiday Pop-Up Shop with gift essentials, like ornaments and hats, and the official “Wreathing of the Stag Statue.”
