Homeowner Awoken To Burglar On Ring Camera: Fairfield Police

FAIRFIELD, CT — Security footage recently captured a vehicle burglary in Fairfield, according to police.

An Arbor Drive homeowner was awoken about 3 a.m. Feb. 26 by a Ring notification, which showed a man in dark clothing entering a vehicle in the driveway, police said. The man left in a small, black hatchback SUV, according to police, who said a Honda CRV was located by officers in the area, but fled on Hulls Highway to the Post Road and finally onto northbound Interstate 95 via Exit 19.

The CRV was reported stolen out of Hartford, police said, adding they did not pursue the vehicle in compliance with policy.
