UPDATE: Secret Service Notified of Mutilated Skunks with 'Obama Stinks' Sign in Fairfield
The Humane Society is offering a reward for information on the dead skunks.
Update, 1 p.m.:
The Secret Service has been notified of the dead skunks with the “Obama Stinks” sign in Fairfield, according to WTNH News 8.
Fairfield Police Chief Gary MacNamara told WTNH that “any time the president of the United States is mentioned in something like that, we want to make sure they are at least aware of it. We don’t believe it to be a threat. So they are notified of this.”

Fairfield police continue to investigate the discovery of two dead skunks with signs reading “Obama Stinks,” near them and the Humane Society of the United States is offering a $5,000 reward for information, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
One of the mutilated skunks was nailed to a telephone pole at the corner of Park and Jackman avenues and the other was near the base of the pole, according to NBC Connecticut.
A woman noticed the skunks and called police Tuesday morning.
The Citizen reports that police had no new information as of Wednesday morning.
