ID Released In Fatal I-95 Crash Involving Pedestrian In Fairfield
The pedestrian was struck in the center lane of the highway, state police said.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A Norwalk man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on I-95 in Fairfield, state police said.
At 2:25 a.m. Friday, state police received a 911 call for a one-car motor vehicle collision on I-95 South, between exit 23 on and off ramps, in Fairfield.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Saturn, operated by Jake Seco, 22, of Norwalk, was traveling southbound on I-95, in the center lane of three travel lanes, state police said.

"The Saturn, for unknown reasons, veered to the left and into the median where it struck the concrete jersey barrier, coming to an uncontrolled final rest in the median," state police said in the accident summary. "Seco exited the Saturn, and walked into the southbound travel lanes where he was struck in the center lane of I-95 southbound by a 2025 Nissan Rogue..."
Seco was pronounced dead on scene by an AMR paramedic. The roadway was shut down for approximately six hours to allow for investigation and scene processing.
