Involved In Everything: Fairfield Star Student
We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who is having an impact in Fairfield.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Joanna Gelinas who nominated Aniket of Fairfield. Joanna is Aniket's school counselor.

How do you know the star local student?
I am his school counselor
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Aniket is involved in EVERYTHING. Beyond taking an extremely rigorous course load, he has also participated in numerous competitive academic programs, including University of Florida Student Science Training Program. He has published Space Research in the Exploratio Journal, serves as a STEM tutor through multiple organizations, and held an internship with an educational startup. Beyond academics, Aniket has won multiple writing contests and is a Leader with Know Your Reps. He currently serves as President of Model UN and as one of FLHS' student delegates to the Board of Education in addition to holding leadership roles with countless other organizations. I often joke with Aniket that I don't know where he fits in eating and sleeping!
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
If there is something that CAN be done, Aniket will find a way to get it done. I do not know why I still get surprised at the opportunities he creates for himself, but he is amazing.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Aniket!
