Jake Pettit Garage Grunt Challenge In Fairfield
The event raises awareness to all veterans suffering from PTSD and benefits the Fairfield PD K-9 Unit and Law Enforcement Torch Run.

The first Jake Pettit Garage Grunt Challenge will take place Sunday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fairfield University parking garage, located at 1073 North Benson Road in Fairfield.
The challenge is named in honor of LCPL Jake Pettit, a Marine from Fairfield who lost his battle with PTSD in October of 2016. The event is being held to bring awareness to all veterans suffering from PTSD and to benefit the Fairfield PD K-9 Unit and Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut.
Registration is $60 per two-person team or $75 day of (if space is available). Teams consist of coed or same-sex divisions with RX and scaled options. In the 10-minute workout, teams will complete as many reps as possible of 22 push press, 22 front squats and 22 burpees. Reps will be split evenly and one person will work at a time. Registration closes Sunday, April 22.
