James Yevich runs 32.5 of planned 40 miles
The deaf runner may plan another 40-mile race in the spring
Due to the heat, James Yevich was unable to complete his 40-mile run last Sunday, but he certainly gave it his best try.
He got through 32.5 miles -- 81 percent - before the heat forced him to stop, but remains unterred.
"It is longest miles in my career," he said. "It was not easy. I love a challenge. I am thinking that I will run 40 miles again in the spring. When I will make a plan about 40 miles event, I will work hard and ask friends for more help."

Yevich began his run in Fairfield at 4 a.m. and the plan was for him to finish it at this Stratford home between 11 a.m. and noon.
Born without any hearing, Yevich was running to raise money -- and awareness - for deaf people with cancer.
