Family in government: No
The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
The single most pressing issue facing Fairfield is making the town government more cost efficient and effective. I will work with the First Selectwomen and Board of Selectmen to make the town more accountable to taxpayers and more responsive to residents and businesses.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I believe for a town like Fairfield to thrive and prosper all residents and business operators and visitors must feel safe. Therefore I support ensuring that the Fairfield police are fully funded so they have all of the modern resources necessary to do the job we entrust to them — KEEPING OUR TOWN SAFE.
Accomplishments:
I served four years on the board of the Southport Woods Condominium Association, two as it’s president. I am familiar with the types of issues that arise governing a community. A condominium association is not much different then a town. Priorities must be negotiated and set, and basic services delivered and all while trying to minimize the cost to residents.
Other issues:
The other issues that are important to me include: sensible economic development that will help ease the tax burden on residents and creating schools focused on academic achievement and continuing to build a healthy community where everyone is welcome and free to express their own ideas and opinions.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I have never run for political office before. I am running because, like many of you, I don’t like what has been happening in this country the last couple of years and I decided that it was time for me to get involved. For me, and the best way to get involved is working at the local level. I pledge to represent the interests of those in District 10 and make decisions in the best interests of the entire town.
