A Kind Soul And A Hard Worker: Fairfield Star Student

FAIRFIELD, CT — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Vanessa Costanzo, who nominated Tyler of Fairfield. Vanessa works at Fairfield Woods Middle School, where Tyler is a student.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Tyler is genuinely one of the kindest souls out there. Tyler has worked so incredibly hard throughout his middle school years. He is a compassionate and smart young man. Tyler has helped mentor students in our school building, and works hard in all of his classes. Tyler also worked so hard on the basketball team this year - both in and out of school Tyler demonstrates exemplary behavior. Tyler is a loyal friend ad an amazing role model for kids and adults. I am so proud to know him as a person, and a better person for having worked with him.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

He is a special and kind person, and that matters :)
