Lane Closures Expected On Major Fairfield Road This Weekend
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be used when needed to guide motorists through the work zone.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield drivers should prepare for lane closures this weekend on a major road in town as paving season gets underway.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is conducting a milling and paving project on Route 135 from Route 1 to Route 58, according to information posted on Facebook by state Rep. Laura Devlin. The work will also include traffic control upgrades on Route 135.
Lane closures are expected Friday and through the weekend, according to Devlin.

The lane closure schedule for the project is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, with modifications possible due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. The project is set to be finished Oct. 21, 2022.
