Lane Closures To Start Soon On Easton Turnpike
A sewer improvement project on the turnpike, also called Route 59, starts Monday and will affect traffic patterns.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A sewer improvement project is set to start Monday on Easton Turnpike, and will require lane closures.
The project will run along the turnpike, also known as Route 59, from Jefferson Street to Church Hill Road, according to a news release from the town of Fairfield. Traffic will be alternating patterns 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the construction area.
The project includes the replacement of the existing sewer pump station and the installation of two new forced sewer mains, the news release said. The purpose of the project is to increase the sewer capacity in the area.

True Blue Environmental Services LLC and Kovacs Construction Corp. have been hired for the project, which is expected to be finished by December 2020.
