Ludlowe Boys' Soccer Looking To Improve After Narrowly Missing FCIAC Playoffs Last Season

Falcons are coming off a 7-6-4 campaign in which they advanced to second round of state playoffs

The Fairfield Ludlowe boys' soccer team hopes to improve on a 7-6-4 record last season, which many in the program ended too early.

After a 4-1 loss to Westhill in the regular-season finale kept the Falcons out of the FCIAC playoffs, they advanced to the second round of the CIAC Class L state tournament. Ludlowe's season ended with a 1-0 setback to Platt Tech,

The Falcons have to overcome the loss of last year's captains Joey Sisca, Casper Gimand and Christopher Heyn, who all graduated. Sisca and Gimand were named All-FCIAC and Heyn was tabbed  All-FCIAC West.

However, the Falcons are hoping that new captains Max Grascher,  a strong back and goaltender Luke Clifford can pick up where last season's leaders left off.

Junior midfielders Christian Barral and Mahmoud Kafel are expected to contribute extensively as well.
