Magical ‘Harry Potter 8’ Party Celebrated at Fairfield Public Library
More than 200 people came out to the library in celebration of the publication of the new play, 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.'
FAIRFIELD, CT — A magical evening was celebrated at the Fairfield Public Library on Saturday, July 30, when it hosted a “Harry Potter 8” Party in anticipation of the publication of the new play, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”
The play was released at midnight, July 31, Harry’s birthday.
Many of the 210 revelers who came to the library from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. continued the festivities with a stop at Saugatuck Sweets for treats and then on to another party through to midnight at the Fairfield University Bookstore.

Party-goers wore costumes, got "sorted" into their "Houses" with the amazing sorting hat, played Quidditch and attended a potions class, among many other activities.
