CT Weather: Freezing Cold Ends As Warmup Begins Thursday
And the first look at the Thanksgiving weather forecast for Connecticut has been released. Here is what we can expect.

CONNECTICUT — After a few days in the deep freeze, Connecticut residents can exhale a bit and look forward to a warming trend that is expected to continue for the next week or so minus a brief detour on Saturday. Gone are the record low temps and hello 50s again, which will arrive on Friday.
It will be a chilly weekend especially on Saturday, but largely dry outside of a few rain showers late Sunday and early Monday, and then there will be another noticeable warmup heading into next week.
This means no snow is currently in the forecast for Connecticut and many areas of the state are still looking for its first flakes.

And according to the Weather Channel, the temps will remain warmer through Thanksgiving Day with temps in the mid to upper 40s most days and the initial Thanksgiving weather forecast calls for rain showers and temps in the upper 40s in Connecticut.
The National Weather Service says, "As high pressure moves offshore today, southerly winds will transport milder air into the region, with some moderation in temperatures as highs reach the 40s. The onshore flow of maritime air plus a weak trough developing as the high moves east should lead to a mostly cloudy afternoon especially across ... southern Connecticut, where a few patches of light rain are also possible.

"The trough should move east tonight, with winds shifting west and skies clearing in its wake. Temperatures should moderate further, reaching the upper 40s and lower 50s on Friday before a cold frontal passage Friday night," according to the weather service.
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons says, "Another cold start out there! Clouds and sun going back-and-forth today with a minor sprinkle or flurry chance. The big news will be the temperature getting up about 10° warmer than yesterday! It will still be chilly with upper 30s to mid 40s for the afternoon. Hey! How about this for tomorrow? Sunshine and high temperatures around 50°! Don’t get used to that as the temperature will be turning cold again for Saturday. Windy 30s on Saturday with a wind chill in the teens and 20s. "
