Man Accused of Assaulting, Choking His Sister in Fairfield
Fairfield Police say the brother and sister argued over items the suspect pawned.

Christopher Freer, 36, of Ansonia is accused of coming to his sister’s house in Fairfield and allegedly assaulting her and choking her, the Fairfield Citizen reports.
Police say the incident occurred Friday evening at a Colonnese Drive house and the brother and sister argued over items Freer pawned, the Citizen reports.
Freer allegedly pawned items owned by the victim’s fiancé and refused to give her the pawn slips so she could retrieve the items, police said.

As part of the incident, Freer allegedly rammed the bathroom door with his shoulder, knocked his sister down and choked her, the Citizen reports.
