Man Accused of Assaulting Ex-Wife During Dispute in Fairfield

An argument ensued after the man allegedly broke the rear windshield of his ex-wife's car.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Wallingford man is accused of assaulting his ex-wife and breaking the rear windshield of her car during a recent incident in Fairfield, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports Martin Casey, 52, was recently arrested on a warrant for the incident in which he went to his ex-wife’s house to pick up their son and apparently became angry because his son hadn’t completed work on his Eagle Scout badge.

Casey, who told police he didn’t intentionally shatter the windshield, cut his hand and went inside where an argument ensued with his ex-wife and he is accused of hitting her in the face, according to the Citizen.
