Man Accused of Multiple Break-Ins to Fairfield Eateries

The man was arrested on a warrant in connection with last summer's burglaries.

A Bridgeport man was charged with multiple break-ins of the Circle Diner and Village Bagels in Fairfield last summer, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports that Ernesto Alicea, 49, who has at least 20 prior arrests, was arrested on a warrant after video surveillance linked him to the burglaries.

Alicea is accused of cutting power and cable lines into the businesses, according to the Citizen. The safes from both businesses were reported missing, as well as more than $800 in cash, according to the Citizen.
