FAIRFIELD, CT — A Stratford man is accused of punching his girlfriend in the head during an argument in Fairfield, according to multiple reports.
Dwight Franklin, 28, was arrested after police received several calls regarding a couple arguing in a car near Black Rock Turnpike and Jennings Road, according to the Fairfield Citizen. (To sign up for Fairfield breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
The Citizen reports Franklin told police that they were arguing over his relationship with another woman, however, the girlfriend said they were arguing over the fact that he got another woman pregnant.

Police observed that the woman had swelling under her left eye, according to the Fairfield Daily Voice.
The Daily Voice reports that Franklin told police that he accidentally hit her in the face while he was blocking her attempt to hit him.
