Man Accused of Stealing Skis from Car in Southport

A Bridgeport man was arrested Monday after allegedly stealing a pair of skis from an unlocked car parked behind the Southport Brewing Co. on the Post Road late Sunday night, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports that Edwin Ortiz, 22, was spotted by Bridgeport police early Monday morning driving a car that a Southport Brewing Co. employee saw driving away from the scene.

Fairfield police found the skis, which were valued at $1,200, in the car Ortiz was driving when they went to arrest him, according to the Citizen.
