Man Charged With DUI For 10th Time: Fairfield Police

The man allegedly refused to do a field sobriety test because he 'was too drunk," according to a report.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield man was recently charged with DUI for a 10th time after police say he drove over a curb and hit a street sign on Kings Highway East, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports Peter Wisniewski, 63, of Black Rock Turnpike, allegedly refused to do the one-leg stand field sobriety test because he “was too drunk.” He also allegedly blamed the bar for serving him too much alcohol and wasn’t consistent with telling police which bar he was coming from, according to the Citizen.
