Man Fakes Being Hit By Car in Fairfield: Report
A woman called 911 in a panic, thinking she had just struck a man while backing up, but witnesses quickly said that wasn't the case.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A woman called 911 in a panic Tuesday afternoon to report that she had just struck a man while backing up in the Stop & Shop parking lot, but witnesses quickly told police that the man faked being hit, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The man, an unidentified Trumbull resident, now faces a charge of falsely reporting an incident as police told the Citizen they are applying for an arrest warrant.
Several witnesses, including one who called 911, told police a similar report of the car stopping about a foot away from the man, who then leaped onto the car’s trunk, according to the Citizen.
