Man Fleeing from Police Crashes Into Curb, Breaks Car’s Axle in Fairfield: Report
The Fairfield man was reportedly approaching the town line at speeds of 80 to 100 mph before he lost control of the car and was arrested.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield man faces several charges after leading state police on a pursuit before crashing into a curb and breaking the car’s axle on the Post Road last Thursday morning, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The Citizen reports Fairfield Police were putting out stop sticks near the town line when Antonio Cordero was approaching from Westport at speeds of 80 to 100 mph before he lost control of the car. Cordero, 42, of Vermont Avenue, was taken into custody without incident.
The pursuit began when police received a call from a resident that claimed Cordero had backed out of driveway and struck his parked car and Cordero refused to stop for police and got on I-95 South instead, according to the Citizen.

After he was taken into custody, Fairfield Police learned that state police and Stratford Police had active arrest warrants for Cordero.
