Man Robbed At Knifepoint On Christmas In Downtown Fairfield: Police
The suspect opened the door of a vehicle and threatened to stab the victim if he didn't surrender his wallet, according to Fairfield police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A man was robbed at knifepoint on Christmas in downtown Fairfield, according to police.
The incident occurred about 10:15 p.m. Saturday outside Cumberland Farms, 1101 Post Road, police said.
The victim reported that he heard someone knock on the passenger-side door of his vehicle and assumed it was a friend, but that the suspect opened the door and threatened to stab the man if he didn’t surrender his wallet, according to police. The robber was wielding a serrated knife and fled south on Beach Road in a small, black vehicle, police said.

The armed man stole about $100, the victim’s driver’s license and assorted credit cards, according to police, who searched the area but did not find the robber or his vehicle. The case remains under investigation, police said.
