Man Sought After Altercation At Convenience Store: Fairfield PD

Police are asking for help with identifying the man.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Police are asking for help with identifying a man who was involved in a verbal altercation with another customer at a store in Fairfield last month. Police said the altercation occurred at the News Express, located at 200 Tunxis Hill Road, at about 5 p.m. on April 24.

The suspect, described as a white male about 6-feet-tall with a husky build and wearing blue jeans and a blue and gray shirt, became involved in a loud altercation with another customer over their place in the checkout line, according to police.

“The male began yelling profanities and proceeded to berate the other involved party while several other customers were in the store,” police wrote in a news release. “No physical violence was reported, however, there is cause to believe criminal violations occurred due to the nature of the male’s remarks.”
