Man Struck and Killed by Fairfield Train Identified
The man laid down in front of an approaching Metro-North train last week.

The man struck and killed by a Metro-North train in Fairfield last week has been identified as Modeba Keita, 32, of Bridgeport, according to the Connecticut Post.
Keita had laid down on the track in front of an approaching train on May 28, according to the Post. The train’s engineer told MTA investigators that he sounded the horn and applied the brakes when he saw the man walking along the track, but the man then jumped into the gauge and faced the train.
The Post reports that Keita had been convicted for various offenses in Connecticut and was also incarcerated in New York for offenses such as gang assault.
