Manslaughter Arrest Made In Crash That Killed Fairfield Woman: PD

STAMFORD, CT — A 29-year-old Stamford man has been arrested in connection with the fatal January crash that killed 59-year-old Fairfield resident Lynette Wagner, announced Stamford police.

George E. Christiansen, of Beach View Drive, turned himself into police custody on Friday and was charged with second-degree manslaughter, wrote police officials on department's Facebook page.

Wagner was crossing Elm Street in Stamford, on her way to work at Henkel USA, when she was struck by a van driven by Christiansen.

Christiansen was released on a $25,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on April 11.
