Missing Wedding Ring Found In Fairfield Transfer Station Trash By Manager

When a couple realized the 40-year-old ring was missing after a trip to drop trash at the transfer station, the manager came to the rescue.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A town employee recently helped reunite a Fairfield couple with a lost wedding ring.

When the residents realized the husband's ring was missing after a trip to drop trash at the transfer station, the facility's manager, Lisa Gnandt-Ralston, came to the rescue.

"Lisa jumped into action raking through the trash and found the forty-year-old wedding band," First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick said Friday in an email newsletter. "I wanted to share this heartwarming story and commendable action by a Fairfield Town employee. Well done Lisa."
