Mom 'Is The Best' And The Person Fairfield Daughter Strives To Be

FAIRFIELD, CT — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 this weekend, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Connecticut to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.

It doesn't matter how old the kids are, they'll always be your babies! And part of the fun of motherhood is watching your children grow up and enjoy the same things that you love.

In Fairfield, Meghan Markham Parker, 38, says, “My mom, Judy Markham, is amazing. She listens to me. She loves me. She has taught me about independence, strength and success. She does the right thing and cares for others. She is smart. Really smart. She can talk, and is willing to listen, to anyone. She is confident, makes good decisions and she makes good chocolate chip cookies. She can play the piano and loves to compete with others in card games. She is the best — the person I look up to, admire and strive to be. She is strong and proud and I am lucky.”

Maris Markham Parker, 5, says, “I love my mommy. She is the best mommy in the world. She is everything a daughter could want and her mommy does the same thing, too.”
