Mother Arrested After Leaving Baby Alone To Buy Drugs: Police

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield woman is accused of leaving her 15-month-old child home alone to go out and buy drugs, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports Colleen Sheehy, 40, was arrested Sunday afternoon after police say she forcibly grabbed her mother’s purse and later left her child alone in the house.

Sheehy, who had been asking her mother for money and arguing with her, was in the possession of marijuana, crack cocaine, and smoking paraphernalia when she returned to the home, according to the Citizen.
