Motorists Avoided Serious Injury Driving Through Crash Scene With Live Electrical Wires Down: Fairfield Fire Department

FAIRFIELD, CT — Several motorists avoided serious injury while driving through an accident scene where there was leaking transformer oil and live electrical wires, according to fire officials.

“Would you drive under the wires in this accident scene to get where you were going?,” the fire department said in a post on Facebook. “Prior to our Fairfield Firefighters arrival today, there was evidence of numerous motorists driving though the leaking transformer oil... It was determined that the electrical wires were live upon arrival. Thankfully no one was injury or killed at this incident. #driversbeaware”
