National Voter Registration Day At Fairfield's Libraries On Sept. 17
People will be able to register to vote at both the main branch downtown, and the Fairfield Woods branch.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Both branches of Fairfield Public Library in Fairfield, CT, will celebrate Voter Registration Day next week by hosting volunteers to help members of the community register to vote in the next election.
Make sure you are “vote ready” on November 5th by visiting one of our Library locations between 11:00am and 7:00pm on September 17 and registering with a volunteer. Tables will be set up in the lobbies of both Main Library at 1080 Old Post Road and Fairfield Woods Branch Library at 1147 Fairfield Woods Road. Please bring identification.

“The Library is proud to participate in National Voter Registration Day in partnership with the League of Women Voters,” said Philip Bahr, Head of Adult Services. “To quote the Reverend Martin Luther King, ‘voting is the foundation stone of political action.’”
National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday dedicated to celebrating our democracy. Since its kickoff in 2012, the holiday and its team of thousands of partners have worked to get over 5 million Americans registered to vote in time for their next trip to the ballot
box.
