New Family Owned Fairfield Pharmacy To Host Grand Opening

Kenneth and Susan Lee decided to open a pharmacy on Black Rock Turnpike because they felt the area needed an independently owned pharmacy.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Black Rock Pharmacy, an independent, family-owned pharmacy, has scheduled its official ribbon cutting for later in July, according to a news release from the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony will be officiated by First Selectman Mike Tetreau.

Kenneth and Susan Lee are the proud owners of Fairfield’s newest independent pharmacy. The Lees decided to open a pharmacy on Black Rock Turnpike because they felt the area needed an independently owned pharmacy.

"With all the chain pharmacies in the area, we feel people want an alternative," Ken Lee stated in the news release.

The pharmacy will provide local delivery service, drive-thru service, and a private consultation and immunization room. The 3,000-square-foot store offers gift items, greeting cards, Fairfield apparel, snacks and drinks, and CBD products.

Susan Lee has a bachelor's degree in entrepreneurship from Temple University and previously owned a business in Philadelphia. Ken Lee graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and has a law degree from St. John’s University School of Law. He has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 28 years. Ken and Susan Lee moved to Fairfield County 12 years ago and have two sons.

The ribbon cutting will take place noon July 19 at the pharmacy, 1838 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield. The public is invited to attend the grand opening weekend. There will be free giveaways, a Phocus soft drink demonstration, and a Kindle Fire and Echo Dot free raffle. Some food and drinks will be provided. The business will also offer a grand opening promotion of $5 off all front-end purchases over $25, excluding prescriptions.
