New Headmaster Hired At Fairfield Warde High School

Officials announced the hiring on Friday.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Paul Cavanna has been hired as the new headmaster at Fairfield Warde High School, Fairfield Public Schools announced on Friday. Cavanna, who will start his new job in July, comes to Fairfield from the Milford Public School system where he has served as the principal of West Shore Middle School for four years.

Prior to his role as principal at West Shore, Cavanna was assistant principal at Jonathan Law High School in Milford. Cavanna began his career as a high school history teacher in West Haven and also has experience as social studies department head in Danbury.

Cavanna completed his Sixth-Year Degree in Educational Leadership at Sacred Heart University, where he also completed the Superintendent of Schools Certification Degree program, according to Fairfield school officials.

“The interview committee was impressed by Mr. Cavanna’s passion and enthusiasm for his work,” officials said in a post on Facebook.
