New LEGO Store, Bricks & Minifigs, Opens In Fairfield
The store, an authorized vendor of LEGO® products, is located at 1929 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Bricks & Minifigs®, a unique store and authorized vendor of all things LEGO®, opened this week at 1929 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.
Owned by Fairfield residents David and Lindsay Orr, the store is one of two in the state, with the other one in Southington. Bricks & Minifigs is a national franchise business, with more than 100 stores in the United States and Canada.
The couple moved to Fairfield from California in 2021 (David spent part of his childhood and teen years in Fairfield), and were looking for something to do to quench their entrepreneurial spirit.

"Our kids loved LEGO, and we really got into it as a family, especially during the pandemic," Lindsay told Patch. "We visited the Southington store, and thought this would be something we would enjoy, and be a great fit for Fairfield."
The store carries a large variety of LEGO products, and not only sells new sets, but also stocks used sets and discontinued or "retired" sets. Customers will also be able to trade sets.

"We were really excited to find out that Bricks & Minifigs has a unique buy/sell/trade model that welcomes people to sell their used LEGO products for cash or store credit," Lindsay said, adding that her children traded sets at the Southington store.
And if you're thinking LEGO is just for kids, David says that the company is heavily marketing sets to adults, such as a beautiful, $300 set of Notre-Dame in Paris, which features more than 4,000 pieces.
The Fairfield store has a back room where it will host birthday parties and other events, such as Family Build Nights, Brick Derby races, after-school clubs and more social events, starting later this month. It can even be rented out for corporate, team-building events.
"We are so excited to provide a fun and welcoming environment for LEGO-lovers of all ages," Lindsay said.
The store held a ribbon-cutting on Friday, and will host a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m.; the first 100 customers will receive a free customized "Bricks & Minifigs Fairfield" minifigure.
