New Pizza Spot Slated To Open In Fairfield Later This Summer
Riko's Pizza currently has three other Connecticut locations, two in Stamford and one in Norwalk.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A new pizzeria is scheduled to open on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield in late summer or early fall.
Riko's Pizza, which was founded in Stamford by Rico Imbrogno and Luigi Cardillo, specializes in crispy, thin-crust pies. The new Fairfield spot at 1920 Black Rock Turnpike will bring the chain's total to four Connecticut locations, with two in New York.
A Florida location is in the works, and the company says it has franchise opportunities.

The Fairfield site will be owned and operated by brothers-in-law Jay FitzGerald and Charlie Aysseh, who both grew up in New Canaan, according to the company.
They both have restaurant experience, though FitzGerald more recently worked in advertising, and Aysseh in equity sales. The two, however, shared a passion to return to the restaurant industry as franchise owners.

"While having meetings with Riko's we were really impressed with their attitude of playing to win and really wanting to get involved with the success of their franchisees," Aysseh said in a statement.
Added Cardillo, "These two gentlemen are driven self-starters who are loyal customers and passionate about the Riko's brand. With Jay's front-of-house experience and Charles' back-of-the-house experience we find them a perfect fit for Riko's! We're really excited to help them get their location up and running in the coming months and look forward to celebrating with them at the grand opening."
