New Thai Restaurant Opens in Fairfield

The restaurant celebrated its grand opening with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Thai Kit Restaurant celebrated its grand opening in Fairfield with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 1.

Thai Kit Restaurant, located at 222C Post Road, offers authentic, traditional Thai cuisine and is owned by Nattima Sonsoem.

First Selectman Mike Tetreau, Community & Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart, Fairfield Chamber of Commerce President Beverly Balaz were among those who gathered to help celebrate the restaurant’s opening with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Thai Kit Restaurant offers authentic, traditional Thai cuisine. Chicken Lemongrass, Lime Chili Chicken and traditional Pad Thai, are among their most popular dishes, according to Sonsoem.

Sonsoem is a recent graduate of the University of New Haven, where she received a Master’s in Business Administration degree.

“We are thrilled to have Thai Kit Restaurant join our vibrant and growing Fairfield business community,” Community & Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart said. “Small businesses like this have long been the backbone of our local economy, and we wish Nattima much success in her new business venture.”

Thai Kit Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, six days per week, but closed on Mondays. The restaurant also offers catering and take-out service with free delivery within a five-mile radius.
