No School In Fairfield After Snowy Forecast
After warnings of a potentially icy commute, the Fairfield school district decided to close Thursday.
FAIRFIELD, CT — All public and parochial schools in Fairfield will be closed Thursday due to rain and snow in the forecast.
Fairfield Public Schools announced the closure on the district's website after police warned Wednesday that rain and snow could make for an icy Thursday morning commute.
The town is under a winter weather advisory until 1 p.m., with up to 2 inches of snow expected, mainly before noon, according to the National Weather Service.
