No School Friday In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CT — Mother Nature has given Fairfield students a surprise three-day weekend.

Fairfield public and parochial schools will be closed for a snow day, the school district website announced early Friday morning.

The town is under a winter weather advisory until 3 p.m., with snow, sleet and rain in the morning forecast, according to the National Weather Service. With over 3 inches of snow, sleet and ice possible, the morning commute has the potential to be slower and more treacherous than usual for Fairfielders.
