Notre Dame-Fairfield Names Jeff Bevino New Softball Coach
Bevino led Foran to the Class L state championship in 2011 and is ND's former football coach.
Jeff Bevino is returning to Notre Dame-Fairfield as the head softball coach, the school announced on Tuesday.
Bevino, who was Notre Dame’s football coach from 1999 to 2005, resigned as the Foran softball coach where he led the Lions to the Class L state championship in 2011.
Bevino, who began coaching at Foran in 2009, led the Lions to three straight state championship games (from 2011-2013) and also the SCC tournament title in 2012.

Bevino is currently in his 10th year as Foran’s football coach and his son, Michael, a football and baseball player, transferred from Foran to Notre Dame this season, according to Sean Patrick Bowley of GameTimeCT.
