Obit: Robert Anderson, Former Fairfield Resident

Robert Joseph Anderson, a long-time resident of Stamford, Fairfield, and most recently Milford, and the beloved husband of the late Mary Daly Anderson, died peacefully on Monday, August 22, 2016, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT.

Bob, as he liked to be called, was born in Stamford, Connecticut, on October 20, 1929, to Clarence and Nora (Brady) Anderson. He served admirably in the U.S. Navy and worked and retired from the Union Trust Bank. Bob had a twinkle in his eye at all times and a smile for everyone.

Bob is survived by his children, Doreen Anderson, Robin Oberg and her husband Ray, Kathy Morse and her husband Phil, and Pete Vargosko, partner of the late Debbie Anderson; his grandchildren, Robert Oberg, Alan Gregory, Rachel (Chris) Meyer and Jacky Morse; his sister, Claire; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and daughter, Bob was predeceased by his brother, Jack and his sisters, Ethel Piatt and Noreen Carroll. Our parents are together again, listening to Irish music and enjoying the company of family, friends, and pets long missed.
