Obituary: Alison E. Steferak, 24, of Fairfield
Alison, a Lauralton Hall graduate, was currently teaching biology in Memphis. She loved nature and was dedicated to many social causes.

Alison E. Steferak, 24, of Fairfield, passed away suddenly Saturday, December 16, 2017 in Memphis, TN. Born in Bridgeport, Alison had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. She graduated from the Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall and received her B.A. Degree in Political Science from Stonehill College.
While in college Alison studied abroad in Ireland, Russia and Armenia as was fluent in French and was conversational in Russian. Alison was currently teaching 9th grade Biology at MLK College Prep High School for Teach for America in Memphis and also had worked as an intern at CivilNet T.V.in Armenia.

Alison loved nature and was dedicated to many social causes as well as the environment. She will be sadly missed by her parents, Lisa Manente Fabrizi of Fairfield and Thomas Steferak and his wife Bonnie of Palm Springs, CA; her adoring younger sister, Gabriella Fabrizi of Fairfield; her devoted grandmother, Elizabeth Manente Power of Fairfield; her special uncle, Jeff Manente and his wife Nicole of Fairfield; her dear cousin, Michael Manente of Fairfield and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Robert E. Power.
