Obituary: Amy Boda, 46; Formerly Of Fairfield

Amy, an Andrew Warde High School graduate, was committed to volunteerism and gave countless hours to the St. Vincent's Special needs school.

Amy Gayle Boda, 46, beloved daughter of Maureen Parks Boda and the late Kenneth L. Boda, passed away on August 15, 2018 at UCONN Medical Center with her mother by her side.

Amy was a gift to her family and will be missed by her brother Commander Kenneth J. Boda. USCG, his wife Dr. Alison Boda; and her nephew Patrick J. Boda of Crofton, MD. Also by her uncle Walter Parks, aunt Karen Parks and uncle Richard Boda and her many cousins.

Amy was born in Bridgeport on December 18, 1971 and lived in Fairfield until moving to Farmington 15 years ago. Amy graduated from Andrew Warde High School, Butler Business School and Housatonic Community College. Before moving to Farmington, Amy worked for Lafayette Bank and the Oxford Health Plan. Amy enjoyed painting, playing bingo, arts and crafts, TV, her computer, online games and her garden. Committed to volunteerism, she gave countless hours to the St. Vincent's Special needs school, the Bridgeport Red Cross and Cambridge Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 10 am directly at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratfield Rd., Fairfield with burial to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Thank You to all the wonderful friends who were there for Amy during her life. Especially those who were there during her final days. Your kindness and prayers will never be forgotten.
