Obituary: Andrew Silvio Bertola, 88, Of Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CT — Andrew Silvio Bertola, 88, passed away on November 6, 2022.

Andy was born September 2, 1934 in New Rochelle, New York to the late Andrew and Catherine (Antonioli) Bertola. The family soon moved to Fairfield, Connecticut where he graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in 1952 and Fairfield University in 1956 with a business degree.

Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the Marine Corps, earned his wings as an Aviator, and flew helicopters. He then embarked on a long business career managing roles for Pitney Bowes, Anaconda Brass, and Arco Metals.

Andrew is survived by his wife Alice (Keefe) Bertola, his four children: Cathie, Drew, John, and Tim (Carol), and his grandchildren Nicole, Sara, and David. In addition to his parents, Andrew was pre-deceased by his brother, Francis.

His family and friends will dearly miss his liveliness, sharp mind, and sense of humor.

Arrangements – Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 9 to 11 am at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
