The following obituary of Anne Rowton, 85, is from Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home:

Anne Rowton, 85, formerly of Stamford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on
Wednesday, March 15, 2023. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 23, 1937 to the late
Salvatore and Felicia (Pinto) Pisani and was one of three children.

Anne was retired from Stamford Public Schools following a long career as a well-loved and dedicated special education teacher at several elementary schools in the city and Elizabeth M. Stabler Preschool. Anne received her undergrad degree from Marywood College in Scranton, PA, her first master’s degree from Sacred Heart University and another from Fairfield University. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

Anne is survived by her loving children, Peter Rowton of Arizona and Kim Barron and her husband, Denis of Fairfield. She will also be missed by her brother, Jerry Pisani and his wife
Linda; grandchildren, Megan, Denis, Evan, Briana and Emma; great-grandchildren, Leo and Bodie; as well as niece Julie and nephew David. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas.
